How to order several units or models
To order more than one Loog (same or different models) just add the extra $ amount to your pledge. For example:
1) To order two Loog Lucite: pledge $299 x 2 = $598. (No need to double the shipping cost.)
2) To order one Loog Pro Electric plus two Loog Mini: choose the “Loog Pro Electric” reward and pledge $159 +$69 + $69 = $297. (Shipping cost stays flat.)

Can I play ANY song on a 3-string guitar?
Yes. In fact, a regular chord in a standard 6-string guitar is usually comprised of no more than 3 notes. Loog Guitars allow you to play real chords and any song. It will not sound as full as if it were played with a high-end, concert guitar, but because of that same reason it provides a more approachable experience; more suitable for kids and beginners.

How do you tune a Loog Guitar?
Quick answer: GBE, from low to high.
Loog Guitars use the same first three strings -and tuning- of a six-string guitar. This is why everything you learn on a Loog can later be applied on a standard guitar.
Now, Loog Guitars are all about exploration, so you can also use other string-configurations and tuning if you want to: Open A, Open G… whatever works for you.

Do you offer a left-handed Loog?
Not for now, sorry. I’m a lefty myself, so I actually feel kind of bad about it, but we can’t offer that option at this point. Until we get there, I recommend simply flipping the order of the strings, just like Hendrix did. Worked great for him and works quite well for me too :)

Is The Loog Guitar only for kids?
Absolutely not. We designed them for kids, but even the Loog Mini is certainly suitable for just anybody who likes to play guitar. We count parents, grandparents and even pro guitarists as some of our most loyal customers.

If I learn to play a Loog Guitar, can I then use those learnings to play a regular 6-string guitar?
Yes, playing a Loog is not entirely different from playing a traditional guitar, it is just simpler. Since we use the same first three strings -and tuning- of a six-string guitar, everything you learn on a Loog can later be applied on a standard guitar. The transition is natural and seamless. Likewise, you can buy books or go online to find the chords to your favorite songs, and use those same chord-tabs meant for six-string guitars to play on your Loog. You just need to pay attention to the finger-placement on the first three strings and simply ignore the other ones!

Loog Guitars used to come unassembled for kids and parents to build together, what happened?
We still like the idea of kids and parents assembling a Loog together, but found out that the experience had mixed reviews: some liked it while others got intimidated or even frustrated (Where does this screw go? How do I string it?).
So, from now on, we’re focusing on the experience of playing guitar rather than building it. By shipping our guitars fully assembled and ready to play, kids and beginners can get right to learning their first songs. And with the new Loog app in the mix, we think we can get them there faster and in a much more entertaining way.

Should a beginner start with the acoustic model first and only then move to an Electric Loog?
Not really. In fact, some argue that it’s easier to start with an electric guitar, because the strings are closer to the fretboard and that makes them more comfortable to play. We suggest going with whatever model you like best.

Do I need an amplifier for the Electric Loog?
Just like any other electric guitar, the Electric Loog needs an amplifier to sound loud and clear. Having said that, know that electric guitars (unlike electronic keyboards), do function when unplugged. In fact, that’s how most of us play our electric guitars at home.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
